Telecommunication equipment refers to the hardware that is used mainly for telecommunications such as transmission lines, multiplexers, etc. It includes hardware like Router, 2-Wire telecom, Modem, G3 Fax Machine, ISDN CPE, Telecom equipment covered under GCS(Cordless Telephone and PABX).

Now, Telecommunications equipment are needed to be tested and certified as per TEC guidelines from 1st October 2019.

We Aleph India QMS assists the manufacturers and importers to get their products Tested and Approved as per TEC guidelines.

Service Details:

To sell the products in market, the manufacturers/importers must have certification issued by TEC after duly test of their products.

The detailed procedure for Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE) under these rules is notified separately. The testing is to be carried out by Indian Accredited labs and based upon their test reports; certificate shall be issued by TEC.

For the security purpose of user or consumers the modem is required to be tested and certified under the TEC(Telecommunication Engineering Centre).

Service Details:

The Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017, provides that every telecom equipment must undergo mandatory testing and certification prior to sale, import of use in India.

The testing is to be carried out for conformance to Essential Requirements for the equipment, by Indian Accredited Labs designated by TEC and based upon their test reports; certificate shall be issued by TEC.

Ministry of Communications has notified “Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules” for Mandatory Testing and Certification of Private Automatic Branch Exchange.

The manufacturers/importers are required to be tested and certified their products under TEC, Government of India.
